citizen initiative
B. denotes the (usually) partisan group of people who pursue public interests and common goals, usually related to a single project. In Germany, there are thousands of citizens' initiatives, which are mostly active in local hot spots especially for environmental protection. In Germany were the first citizens' initiatives in the late 1960s.
unconventional behavior
Political protest behavior to attract the manner of implementing special public and political attention. Certain (social, economic, environmental) problems are only in modern democracies schwer bzw. nur langsam politisch vermitteln und lösen. Daher versuchen politisch aktive Gruppen (z.B. Bürgerinitiativen, Greenpeace), durch spektakuläre, über die Medien verbreitete gewaltfreie Aktionen (z.B. Sitzblockaden) oder durch Aktionen, die Gewalt gegen Sachen beinhalten (z.B. Befreiung von Tieren aus Versuchslaboren), für ihr Anliegen Interesse und öffentliche Resonanz zu schaffen, um es politisch durchzusetzen.
